TCH’s principals and partners have 25+ years of VP or C-suite experience within both publicly traded and privately held businesses and collectively have raised over $1.1 billion in debt and equity for venture or client projects. TCH is based in Decatur, GA and is privately held by its principals Terry Hess and Steve Landrum. Our partners source deals and engage in the oversight, leadership, and support of portfolio investments.

Investment Process

Trident Capital Holdings adheres to an investment process that involves several stages, including sourcing and screening potential investments, underwriting, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms to investment. Post-investment the Sponsor provides strategic advisory to leadership and management and continuous monitoring of portfolio holdings.

The Sponsor’s underwriting process begins by developing a relationship with owners/leadership of target investments, underwriting the value of a company/project, and understanding its impact on customers, staff, management, leadership, and investors. Capital is used to purchase for majority interests and typically funds acquisition, development, operating shortfalls, working capital, and debt service and reserves.
